Dubai's Pristine Beaches

If you're a sun worshipper, the chances are you'll love the magnificent white beaches of Dubai. With gorgeous, welcoming beaches bordered by crystal clear waters, it'll be hard not to spend all of your days lazing around in the bright warmth of the sun.

Dubai has a lot to offer when it comes to the beach. There are several choices of where to visit and each beach has various characteristics that set it apart from the others. Naturally, the best way to find out your favourite is to simply visit all of them, but if you're a little short of time and simply want to find the beach that you think will best suit your needs, it's good to do a little research beforehand.

One of the most popular beaches is the Jumeirah beach, which is around a 25 minute drive from Dubai city centre. This world famous beach is a fantastic place to spend a glorious sunny day, relaxing by the water and soaking up the sun. It's not just for those looking for a great place to read a book, though. Jumeirah beach is also popular with water sports enthusiasts, and is a great place to learn how to jetski, windsurf or try your hand at snorkelling. It's known as a very safe beach for children, with shallow waters so they can play in the sea without going too far out.

Also 25 minutes away from Dubai city centre is the Mamzar beach. This beach forms part of the famous Mamzar park, though one of its drawbacks is that you must pay entry into the park in order to access the beach. Once you see the stretches of warm white sand, however, you'll discover that it's money well spent. There's plenty of space for picnics, barbecues, beach sports and water sports, making Mamzar beach another of Dubai's finest.

A little further away is the Jebel Ali beach, which is known for its placid waters and masses of space, making it a great place to visit if you want a little more solitude as you sunbathe and enjoy the ocean.

Whether you're visiting Dubai on business or are relaxing in one of the excellent Dubai spa resorts, you'll be sure to find the perfect beach for you in this fantastic destination. Just make sure you don't spend too much time in the sun and protect yourself with sun cream before going out!
